The Role
As an Intermediate Architectural Staff you will work to coordinate the team effort to complete project documents successfully. You will be required to develop designs to meet client expectations and goals, create and propose project time estimations, and act as an intermediary between the client and the subcontractors on a variety of residential and commercial buildings, including churches, mixed-use buildings, and institutional projects.
- Provides support to multiple concurrent project managers and projects
- Translate conceptual sketches into CAD drawings, review shop drawings, and assist in the development of client presentations
- Assist in construction administration including site visits and assisting in design challenges
- Maintain internal systems for project management
- Assist Project Manager to meet client expectations regarding design intent, budgets, estimates, and schedules for assigned projects
- Work with team to develop the design and construction documents
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors to cultivate strong relationships
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited school
- 3-6+years of experience working in Architecture
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proficient in SketchUp and Adobe CSuite preferred
- Working knowledge of building codes, and design standards preferred
- Interest in historic precedents, urban planning and new urbanism, craft, and materiality a plus
- Excellent attention-to-detail and resourceful
- Strong organizational, communication and relationship management skills
