    The Role

    As an Intermediate Architectural Staff you will work to coordinate the team effort to complete project documents successfully. You will be required to develop designs to meet client expectations and goals, create and propose project time estimations, and act as an intermediary between the client and the subcontractors on a variety of residential and commercial buildings, including churches, mixed-use buildings, and institutional projects.

    • Provides support to multiple concurrent project managers and projects
    • Translate conceptual sketches into CAD drawings, review shop drawings, and assist in the development of client presentations
    • Assist in construction administration including site visits and assisting in design challenges
    • Maintain internal systems for project management
    • Assist Project Manager to meet client expectations regarding design intent, budgets, estimates, and schedules for assigned projects
    • Work with team to develop the design and construction documents
    • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors to cultivate strong relationships

    Qualifications

    • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited school
    • 3-6+years of experience working in Architecture
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Proficient in SketchUp and Adobe CSuite preferred
    • Working knowledge of building codes, and design standards preferred
    • Interest in historic precedents, urban planning and new urbanism, craft, and materiality a plus
    • Excellent attention-to-detail and resourceful
    • Strong organizational, communication and relationship management skills

    The Role

    As a Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating a team effort on projects ranging from residential estates to a wide variety of civic and commercial buildings, including churches, mixed-use buildings, hospitality, and institutional projects. The Project Manager must ensure that the team, both internally and externally, is working effectively and keeping the design intent, schedule and budget. This involves analyzing progress and communicating any needs to employees.

    • Oversee architectural process from initial design to construction administration for medium to large-scope projects with many complexities, delegating tasks among the project team and consultants
    • Strategically manage project team to ensure that client expectations are met regarding design intent, budgets, estimates, and schedules for assigned projects
    • Participate in all phases of design, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods
    • Resolve challenging technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technical and constructible solutions
    • Lead the development of the design and construction documents
    • Assist junior staff to create and maintain internal systems for project management
    • Work with team to conduct site analyses and code review
    • Partner with Principals in conducting Client presentations to deliver design solutions clearly and effectively

    Qualifications

    • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited school
    • 8-10+ years of experience working in Architecture
    • 5+ years of project management experience preferred
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Knowledge of building codes, design standards, and permitting
    • Interest in historic precedents, urban planning and new urbanism, craft, and materiality a plus
    • Excellent attention-to-detail and resourceful
    • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
