Linda L. Bean
Conference Center

Location
Wilmington, Delaware
Type
Institutional
Size
7,286 SQ. FT

Set above the banks of the Hoopes Reservoir, the Linda L. Bean Conference Center provides a rare opportunity to contribute to the landscape of Delaware’s historic Brandywine Valley.

Amid hills and forest, the new
building reflects local vernacular
architecture and Georgian details of
the longtime organizational hub.

The conference center combines a welcoming, residentially-scaled Foyer, a connecting paneled gallery, and a pavilion-like, light-filled flat Event Hall – scaled to provide flexible public spaces that will host larger meetings, lectures, banquets, as well as smaller, more intimate seminars for the students and members of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
